In the silicon smelting furnace, the electrode is a heart and an important element of the conductive network system. The arc current generated is passed through the electrodes in the furnace and used for the input of smelting silicon chemistry.
Requirements for electrode materials in silicon smelting furnaces:
- Good conductivity and low resistivity to reduce the power quality loss of the enterprise;
- High, low thermal expansion coefficient, not easy to deform;
- It has sufficient mechanical strength at high temperature and low impurity content.
Graphite electrode has low ash content, good electrical conductivity, heat resistance and corrosion resistance. It is the best choice for chemical silicon smelting.
