Carbon equipment products Carbon paste products can be divided into two categories, one is conductive materials (such as electrode paste and anode paste); the other is used as a bonding filler for building carbon blocks (such as bottom paste, coarse seam paste) And fine seam paste).
Electrode paste, electrode paste is an important consumable conductive material for the production of calcium carbide and ferroalloy, and it is a kind of “self-baking electrode” in terms of its properties. At present, the production of 1 ton of 75% Si-containing ferrosilicon consumes about 45kg of electrode paste, and every ton of calcium carbide produced consumes about 30kg of electrode paste. The main raw materials for the production of electrodes are anthracite, metallurgical coke, coal and coal pitch, which can be divided into two categories according to different formulations:
1) Standard and non-standard electrode pastes: Standard electrode pastes are mainly used in open ferroalloy furnaces and small and medium-sized calcium carbide furnaces, using medium temperature pitch as the binder; non-standard electrode pastes are mainly used in large open calcium carbide furnaces, and the dry material particles The composition is the same as the standard electrode paste, but in order to appropriately increase the sintering speed of the electrode paste, a small amount of tar is added to the medium temperature pitch as a binder.
2) Airtight paste: This type of electrode paste is suitable for airtight chopping ferroalloy furnaces, calcium carbide furnaces and other metallurgical furnaces. The airtight paste uses anthracite as the main raw material. In order to improve the sintering performance of the electrode paste, a small amount of broken graphite and petroleum coke must be added, and a binder with a low softening point must be used.
